Why won’t my washing machine drain? (front loader)

This is a common problem for front loading washing machines and is usually caused by either a blockage or a failed pump. At the front lower part of the machine should be a small door or a kick panel. Remove/ open this and you should see a small black plastic cap. Switch off machine at the wall, Get lots of towels ready as opening the black cap will drain the drum completely (this could be A LOT of water). Once the cap is removed, clear any debris from the trap and reinstall the cap firmly. Try the machine again, if it still fails to drain give us a call.
